Washington, DC, USA
Abstract Submission Deadline
The deadline for abstract submission is January 12, 2010 at 11:59 PM EST.
Abstract Submission Process
ASGCT will review all submitted abstracts and select abstracts for
either the oral or poster sessions. ASGCT expects that all abstracts
selected for presentation will be presented by the authors and that
submitted abstracts will not be withdrawn. All accepted abstracts
become the property of ASGCT and will be published in Molecular Therapy
and on the ASGCT website. Please do not submit an abstract if you are
not prepared to travel to the meeting and present it in the form
selected by ASGCT.
Electronic Submission
All abstracts submitted for the ASGCT 13th Annual Meeting are submitted electronically via the ASGCT website at www.asgct.org. There is no fee for submitting an abstract. The abstract submission link is now live.
Eligibility
Members of ASGCT, as well as nonmembers, are eligible to submit
abstracts. Submitting an abstract does not register you for the Annual
Meeting. You must also register for the meeting. Meeting registration
will be available online at www.asgct.org in December 2009.
Review Process
Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the abstract category. Authors must
indicate the review category (only one) during the electronic
submission process.
Trainee Travel Grants
ASGCT will be offering up to 60 travel grants to posdoctoral fellows
and students who are Associate Members of ASGCT. Nonmember postdoctoral
fellows and students are not eligible to receive travel grants. The
grants will be awarded based on abstract scores and the determination
of the ASGCT Abstract Review Committee. The travel grants are worth up
to $500 (Domestic: US, Canada and Mexico) or $600 (International:
Outside of North America) for reimbursement of meeting-related expenses
including lodging, travel and meals. To be considered for such a grant,
please make sure to check the appropriate box for Trainee Travel Award
Consideration when submitting your abstracts. To become an Associate
Member of ASGCT Click Here.
Please note: Meeting registration fees are non-reimbursable; travel
grant recipients must register for the meeting and pay the registration
fees.
Abstract Categories
A new abstract category called Cancer-Oncolytic Viruses has been added for the 13th Annual Meeting. Go to the Annual Meeting Link on the right side of the home page to view a PDF of the Call for Abstracts, which lists all of the categories.
Prior Publication
Papers that have been accepted for publication or published prior to
the abstract submission deadline may not be submitted unless special
consideration is requested. Special consideration may be requested by
checking the appropriate box during the abstract submission process and
providing a statement explaining the special circumstances. If your
abstract was previously accepted for presentation at ASGCT or another
national/international meeting, do not submit the abstract again,
unless there is significantly more data to report.
